On-Site Medical Services


Dr. Kaspari, Stacy Johnson, FNP, and the medical staff are available to retirees through in-person visits or by telemedicine. Only basic medical care will be provided - major medical problems will not be treated. Appointments must be scheduled as walk-in appointments are not allowed.  

Medical staff is available at Headquarters and DGC Monday-Friday.

Following is a list of some services available to retirees on Basin's health plan and some services that are available to retirees and dependents NOT on Basin's health plan:

RETIREES AND DEPENDENTS ON BASIN'S HEALTH PLAN

  • Illnesses
  • Injuries
  • Injections including some joint injections and allergy shots (must be evaluated and ordered by Medical Services)
  • Dermatologic procedures such as mole and skin tag removal, freezing of warts, and other skin conditions (must be evaluated and ordered by Medical Services)
  • Annual Blood Work (small fee for retirees and dependents):
    • Chemistry Panel (Includes TSH, Cholesterol, Liver function, Glucose)
    • Complete Blood count (CBC)
    • PSA for men age 40 or above
  • Influenza vaccine
  • Tetanus/Diptheria/Pertussis vaccine
  • Pneumonia vaccine (must meet CDC criteria)
  • Shingles vaccine (must meet CDC criteria)
  • X-rays performed at HDQ and DGC (must be evaluated and ordered by Medical Services)
  • Work related/occupational injury appointments and follow-up
  • Preoperative physicals
  • Sports physicals
  • Medication refills
  • EKG
  • Audiometric (hearing) testing
  • Vision screens
  • Spirometry (breathing) test

RETIREES AND DEPENDENTS NOT ON BASIN'S HEALTH PLAN

  • Annual Blood Work:
    • Chemistry Panel (includes TSH, Cholesterol, Liver function, Glucose)
    • Complete Blood Count (CBC)
    • PSA for men age 40 or above
  • Other blood tests that can be done - call Medical Services to inquire
  • Influenza vaccine (no charge)
