Basin Electric offers medical and dental (Pre-65) and up to $5,000 of life insurance coverage to eligible retirees who elected continuation in retirement. Once you decline a benefit, you do not have the option to re-enroll at a later time, but you can update who you cover and the type of dental coverage during annual open enrollment or when a qualifying event occurs.
Benefits currently sends a letter explaining any changes, and supplies a printed copy of all plan documents. We will continue to prepare these documents, but are trying to streamline distribution and provide information in an easier, more accessible, cost effective online manner by allowing retirees with online access the opportunity to consent to electronic delivery.
The plan documents have been added to the site so you can access them at any time. All plan documentation will be continually maintained and posted, even though some documents may not apply to you. You can also access benefit related forms, information on onsite medical services, open enrollment documents, and contact information for cooperative benefit representatives.
